Current Events in Bible Prophecy

   We have all witnessed the horror of the destruction of the twin towers of the World Trade Center, and the devastation at the Pentagon. As the White House has stated, substantive information has been received that Osama bin Laden has targeted the leadership of our nation, and in particular, our President, George W. Bush.     

     If the scenario I have developed in Through the Prophet's Eye is to be played out before our eyes at this time in history, as I suspect, we should look for another primary indicator to come about. We should see in the near future an assassination attempt on the royal family of Great Britain.

     Should the royal family be attacked, I expect the Queen to survive and be evacuated to the US or Canada. I suspect Prince Charles would be killed. Prince William will also be evacuated to North America, and probably finish his college education attending one of America's finest military academies.

Keep watch for these things!!!

     The reasons behind the unusual conclusions drawn about the British royal family are found in Through the Prophet's Eye.  Let me be perfectly clear.  I am not prophesying these things as many people are claiming to do today, but rather drawing conclusions based upon specific evidence found in biblical prophecy and supported through historical documentation.  Much of this evidence is contained in verses that are completely misunderstood or ignored by most theologians.

     In support of these conclusions there are two situations in current events which show that the likelihood of an attack against Queen Elizabeth is high. 

     It is my understanding that on September 11, there were two additional terrorist teams, not generally known to the public, that were on board jetliners in the UK.  The jets were still at the airports readying for takeoff when news of the US attacks arrived.  All airlines in the UK were grounded immediately.  The passengers disembarked without having revealed any specific threats.  The two terrorist teams were not discovered at that time.  They eventually made their way back to Pakistan.  Only later was this plot discovered.  The targets of these terrorist hijackers were the two branches of the British government.  

     Osama bin Laden targeted the White House, the World Trace Center towers, the Pentagon and the two branches of the British government.  His aim is to strike at the head, not at the body, of his enemy.

Secondly, according to the International Express, Queen Elizabeth herself already has been a target of bin Laden.

     I find it amazingly easy to see how the events of today can fit very nicely into the prophecies. The events described in Revelation are not done against the entire world in general. They are not done in the spiritual plane. They are not done through miracles.  They are descriptions of modern warfare but described through the eyes of prophets who lived 2,000 or more years ago.  They could not possibly have understood the technology that would have been developed by the time of the Second Coming.  

     The events seen in Revelation are key signature events that describe the most important occurrences of the war leading up to the return of Jesus Christ.  

     If you wanted to show a five-minute summary of World War Two to someone like Daniel Boone who lived 200 years ago, what would you show him?  You'd probably provide a video of key events beginning with German Stuka dive-bombers dropping their bombs on Polish cavalrymen while they charged with their lances at the German panzers.  You'd next show Germans goose-stepping into Paris.  You'd show the Luftwaffe bombing London in the Blitz.  Key event would follow key event until you'd show footage of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. 

     Ol' Daniel Boone wouldn't necessarily understand everything he saw, and certainly would not have a clue about any strategic military or political implications in the actions he witnessed, but he would be able to recount the physical attributes of the scene he was shown fairly well in terms of his own day.  Daniel wouldn't understand what a tank was, but he could understand the concept of a wagon.  He might describe it as a wagon without horses that belched fire and killed people.

     I believe the same thing happened to the Apostle John.  Jesus showed him what significant events would be like at the time of His return, but John couldn't understand everything he saw.  Unfortunately for us in trying to decipher his record, the interpretations that have come down to us have been influenced over the past two thousand years by unwitting theologians who tried to find symbolism in everything he wrote.  They couldn't possibly have imagined the society of high technology we live in today.  When we decipher what John described in Revelation, we must look to understand his experience by fully comprehending his perspective.

     Look to Revelation 6 to see how things will begin in the final days. Ignore for the moment the aspects of the vision surrounding John's experience. Those details were concerned with the presentation of the vision, not the message about the future.  Look to the results of the seven seals. Apply these to today's events.  Not only do the seals accurately describe the ever expanding anti-terrorism situation, but they match surprisingly well what we would expect Jesus to show to John as the pertinent issues leading up to the great war.

     Following the initiation of war against Iraq and Saddam Hussein, we see the seven trumps.  These are an excellent description of, again, the pertinent issues that occur during the Iraqi war.
